Yes, I remember building a CK-722 (?) code practice oscillator as a 10 year
old kid.....
It did not work.....A much older cousin was going to NYU engineering school
...he could not make it work........
years later we discovered that MANY of the early transistors DID NOT
WORK.........
That is why I still have tube radios\
