For HF:
Not Hallicrafters, but the Gonset G-66/G-66B receiver and the G-77
transmitter can be run from a 6 volt system. The G-66 was introduced in
1955 and the G-77 was introduced in 1956. The G-66B was introduced in 1957.
The Harvey-Wells T-90 transmitter and R-9 receiver can be run from 6-volts
and they were introduced in 1955.
The Morrow MBR-5 receiver was introduced in 1955 and the Morrow MB-560
transmitter were introduced in 1956. The Morrow MB-560A transmitter and
Morrow Falcon receiver were introduced in 1957. Again, 6 volt capable.
If you want 6-meter or 2-meter FM then there were all sorts of 6 volt radios
made by Motorola, General Electric, and others. Hammarlund made the
"Outercom" FM units that were available for either lowband (6-meter) and
highband (2-meter).

Did Halli make any 6V powered mobile radios? My 1957 truck is crying for a
rig, but it's 6V electrical system is somewhat limiting.
