Dear OM,

I own a nice Hallicrafter HT-40 I purchased a few years ago on eBay.  My HT-40 puts out abt. 30w on 40m CW using a fundamental FT-243 crystal of
7.030 mHz. I am recently experiencing a problem when tuning the rig.  The meter on the rig shows only 1.5 points instead of showing 3 points and the needle jumps to 2 points and then again to 1.5 points.  I have also noticed that my MFJ antenna tuner also jumps from 0  SWR to 2 or more SWR.

What could be wrong with my HT-40 ?
