[Hallicrafters] Gloat Time

Ha! That SX42 is nothing! An old ham guy *paid me* to haul away a "piece 
of old junk" he had under a tarp in his storage unit ...
turned out to be a dusty but pristine SX-88 complete with original 
owner's manual in unfingered condition. The unit has a small
brass plaque on the back engraved "W.H." - no idea what that means. I 
fired it up at lunchtime and started pulling
in signals from some dude working CW from the southernmost tip of 
Tasmania like he was in the next room. Then I woke up.
