[Hallicrafters] s-76

I have a working and, IMHO, a pretty hot S-76. And, yes, I love its S-meter!
It's off-line right now waiting to be put to use again after I am sort out
some hamshack traffic jams. 
 
As for the lack of "articles" on the internet, the S-76 seems to have fallen
through the cracks", IMHO, falling between the popular SX-28 / SX-42 and the
SX-100 / SX-101 rx's. 

Bob Roehrig, K9EUI, broehrig at aurora.edu, developed some SX-76 modifications
which I have yet to incorporate but will get roun'tuit one of these days. 

Good luck...it's a nice vintage receiver in stock condition and should be
even better after Bob's mods.  You might want to contact him directly to get
more info.

I am restoring a Hallicrafters S-76. I've checked all the Archives and can
find only 1 posting. Is this receiver so bad that nobody bothers with them.
I know the big feature is it's s meter. Would like to hear from s-76 owners
