Interesting, and good to know. I always thought of the 32 being to the
28 what the R-390A is to the R-390: a cost-reduced, economized
version. Seems to be less the case here. Considering just the two
control changes, it hardly seems worth making an entirely new model
for.

I think that was the intention Todd but Halli raised the price of the SX-28 
and slid the 32 into the old slot. The price difference wasnt enough to 
qualify as a new model and it was killed off fast.

I havent put it thru a real testing but I suspect the 32 has better signal 
handling with that 6L7 stage gone. The 28 is pretty much a dog in that area 
and needs a serious gain redistribution.
