Dear all,

Question 1:
I own a nice HT-17 transmitter but the power supply transformer has gone. Last time I switched it on all went bad and the transformer fried/burned.

I suppose a replacement with the original type will be very difficult if not impossible. I read on the Chuck Dachis "Hallicrafters" book that someone in the US will rewind transformers and this would be a very nice option to save the originality of the rig.
The other option could be to substitute the damaged transformer with a NOS one giving the same voltages and max current ratings but on the HT-17 manual I cannot find any electric data of this transformer.
What should I do ?

Question 2:
I own a nice and working HT-18 exciter. In the M.O. switch position (VFO) on 80m i get 3W output, on 40m 4W and on 10m 2.5W which is as per specifications.
Unfortunately on 15m and 20m I only get 1W or below. Is just a question of trim adjustments ?

Mni tnx es
