Hi folks,
I have 2 receivers for sale, as noted. I have med-res, and hi-res,
pix of each I'll send to anyone interested, rather than fuss with a webpage.
SX-96 this one is in very nice shape, I've been thru it and replaced
all BBOD's & electroytics except for the filter can. It checked good on
ESR every time I checked, from before power up to after all work,
alignment, etc. It's very clean inside and out, there are a few small
blemishes, not dings, in the cabinet paint. I think the panel and knobs
are very good.
Price $195 plus actual shipping cost, I'll pack at no charge, I
prefer Fedex, but your choice. Probably around 40 lbs to ship.
SX-73 - Halicrafters version of the SP-600, same specs but a
different way of doing things, in some interesting ways. These are not
real common, if you want a chance to learn and compare to the SP-600,
here's a reasonable chance. This one isn't in super shape, the front
panel has been repainted, not by me, and decal lettering applied (some
by me). Some knobs are not original. It is working on all bands, but
for some the band switch knob must be wiggled "just right" to get all
coil pins engaged. Some are no problem. There is adjustment, maybe I
haven't fussed with it enough. It has the hard to find AC power inlet
plug, and a coax adapter for 2-pin balanced to SO-239. The ballast tube
has been "bypassed", there is no tuning lock, but otherwise pretty much
all there. I have done a fairly quick RF alignment, have not done the
IF's, it's quite sensitive on all bands. I'll incl. a CD with the
manual + the SP-600 manual. It has top & bottom covers, don't look orig.
Price $195, plus shipping and I must charge $15 for packing matls on
this one. It is Heavy and Big. Probably around 75 lbs to ship.
Let me know if you want med-res or hi-res pix, if any.
Shipping is from New Bern, NC 28560.
