If you don't have the correct ballast tube for 117 volts, (nearly impossible to find),  the mod shown on page 12 of the S-77 manual at the BAMA website should work.

The  S-77 that I sold a few years ago was modified the same  way. You will have to find a couple of 55 volt type 1835 panel lamps and an 8 ohm 15 watt resistor.  The resistors shown for R38 on the schematic on page 11 are actually  resistance wires inside the ballast tube and the values written in might be a cold measurement across the pins. I'm not sure of the differences between the S-77 and S-77A.
