[Hallicrafters] SX-42 Pedestal?

Not "good looking" but oddly -Kool-  Have one, guess it's the balance of BIG
round tuning dial and leetle round S-meter.  Performance, dunno have never
powered it up. (and it distracts one from the lady in the W1GFH picture) Uh,
not really.......

What's so special about SX-42s? They are not exactly good looking units.
