[Hallicrafters] What's the story on the HT-44 VS the HT-37

Hi everyone....
I have heard mixed reviews/opinions on the HT-44 and having a lot of issues.

Also, I understand it is basically a HT-37 with a seperate PS?

I used to have a HT-37 and I liked it...also, reviews on e-ham are good for the HT-37. Only 1 review on the HT-44 (??)

So, If they are basically the same (HT-44 is a repackaged HT-37) them what is the real scoop on the HT-44.

I want a SX-117 and HT-44 combo,  but not if the HT-44 is big trouble.
