The information you are looking for re the SX-28A restringing is contained in the AN/GRR-2 manual which is on the BAMA mirror site under "Military."
Note, this is for the band indicators. The GRR-2 uses the original type gear drive (far superior to the cheapified dial cord version) for the bandspread dial.
