I have three, each with differing knob skirts (none, 1 1/4 inch & 1 1/2 inch
as I remember). All came from eBay. Prices were $98.63, $148.77 & $184.37
in no related order. The most expensive came with a green, original manual.
Acquired from about 2002 to 2005.
All are about the same condition: all original, complete, no rust, good
faceplate and writing. Cases have only normal wear - some light scratches.
Cheers,
Gerry

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters S-76
Hello,
I just received an S-76 from a friends estate. After cleaning the
crud of years of sitting and replacing some caps, I'll be darned, it
fired right up and works pretty well. I'm repainting the case which
someone decided to make gray rather than the original satin black and I
think the old gal will look and work very well. The question I have is,
since I'll be selling this for the XYL of the SK, what are the old S-76
receivers worth? A low and high figure would be nice to deal with.
Anyone care to offer some advice please?
73,
Ted K8AQM
