[Hallicrafters] How's the boss?

In answer to some questions from people in both the Halli and SWL groups,
I finally have some news. There was some trouble over where Duane was
going to go after leaving the hospital. "The Boss" is still a very ill
man. He is unable to walk, was having some trouble with pressure sores
because he has spent so much time in bed, and he cannot eat or care for
himself without help. He will certainly need rehab to regain some or all
of his functioning. However, for a while he was insisting upon going home;
those who know Duane know that, sick or well, he can be very stubborn!
Shelly was very, very worried. However, today I am pleased and relieved to
pass along the following news from Shelly:

"Verdict is in... dad agreed once again to go to the nursing home/rehab
center. I let out a huge sigh of relief and some tears too. We are waiting
on if there is an opening for him today, otherwise he will be transfered
tomorrow."

Thanks to all of you from both Shelly and me for your concern, good wishes
and prayers. They will still be welcome, but at least we know tonight
that Duane will be getting proper care and won't be all alone; also,
Shelly, who has her own health concerns and her family, will get some
respite from all of her hard work and worry! (Sigh of relief)

73 and thanks to you all--

Marie Lamb
