     I think the knobs all had a satin finish. I tried paint 
but its not very convincing. I will try the plating kit when 
I get it but I suspect it won't duplicate the original 
either. I will report whatever results I get here. The 
ability to replate small parts would be valuable we shall 
see if the thing works.
