The change was made in the Mark II version of the SX-100.  The original used the resistor and the Mark II had the capacitor.

The manuals are available on BAMA.  However, they are in DJVU format.  If you need an excellent viewer for DJVU do a "google" on "WinDjView".  The download is free and that program is excellent.

I just finished recapping a SX 100. I have a question on C-112. The schematic shows C-112 .5mfd 200 volt connected to the switch am-cw/ssb and avc.. The SX100 I have shows to be a resistor. The bands show a 20k ohm at this location. My question is at any time did the Hallicrafter CO. change from a resistor to a capacitor early on in the production of the SX-100.
