[Hallicrafters] HT-32 SSB IF filter alignment?

Did that many years ago using not even a sweep generator but a scope and 
swishing the knob on a  lab audio generator.
Worked out very well
The rig had acquired a sharp tinney sound and the alignment  corrected it
