I did it with a 500+ hp ski boat for 2 seasons, that was enough pain! Did
and still do a lot of flying with friends but never bit the bullet. The farm
next to me has a grass strip and they restore vintage stuff in the barns
since its not a working farm these days. Im down there a lot The owner is 93
and taught Army flyers in the mid 30's thru WW2. His sons, daughter and
other relatives do the flying now, he stopped at 88 but goes for a ride as
often as possible.

There are two happy days in the life of a small airplane owner: The day the
airplane is bought and the day it is sold. All the remaining days involve
expending money, sometimes large amounts!
