[Hallicrafters] SX 71 Questions

I have an SX 71 with black dial that needs, what I believe to be, the function switch. The skirt is labeled from "phono to FM". It also says sharp and broad on the skirt. Can anyone tell me if that is the function switch? I need that knob because a previous owner ground the knob off leaving only the skirt. If you have such a spare knob, please contact me and let me know if you will sell it.  

In addition I must restring the dial cords. I have three springs about 1/2 inch long and two dial pointers. Can any of you tell me how many springs are required to restring both the main dial cord and the band spread dial pointer?
