Yo Lovers Of Things That Still Go Glow In The Dark!
Please join us on Saturday October 17th for the HHI 40 meter Net. Even
though the "Sound Of Silence", TNX to Simon/Garfunkle, may greet your ears,
have faith! We are there somewhere among the hiss, snaps, crackles,
interference from chips, WX hash and assorted other sounds. So keep
listening and all of a sudden you will hear the Halli Net leap to life!
Hopefully not to just as quickly vanish again into the bottomless ethers of
the Duh layer!
The Pre-Net commences at 12:30 PM EST/EDT, or 1630 UTC for the atomic clock
addicted. The Net proper starts at 1:00 PM EST/EDT, or 1700 UTC.
The frequency is still 7.280 MHZ lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and
assorted splatter from an invasion of Woodpeckers on straight keys and those
who just have to tune up on 7.280! Never have figured out what is so good
about 7.280 that everyone and his third cousin feels compelled to tune the
rig there.
Speaking about Woodpeckers ... Mine met his, maybe her, fate. No, I did not
ventilate it with my legal sawed off shotgun! More on that some other time!
Here is hoping to hear you tomorrow! So be there, Halli hat or no, and show
the world what a real radio looks like!
