[Hallicrafters] S-120 globar

Has anyone come up with a good substitute (or source) for the globar
current limiter in the S-120? The best idea I've seen is to use a 100
ohm fixed power resistor in series with a modern NTC type in-rush
limited, but they're mostly designed for loads in the several-amp range
vs. the 500ma or so required for the S-120, where the old globar had an
initial resistance of 880 ohms, dropping to 100 as it warmed up. Thanks.
