Thanks for the tips on locating the model number of my SX 100. I finally looked on the back of the notch filter sub-chassis and found a stamp that says "SX 100 MK A" or "SX 100 MK B". The imprint is a little blurred on the suffix after "MK". I am not sure there was ever a "MK B". If not, it is probably a "MK A". I have read that there was a "MK I" and a "MK II" and don't know if a "MK I" is actually a "MK A" and if the "MK II" is actually a "ML B".

I am a little closer to identifying my SX 100 but haven't NAILED it completely yet. Thanks for the assistance. 73, John, K5PGW
