[Hallicrafters] SX-101A IF bypass caps: critical

Someone on another forum mentioned that there was an ER article that stated
the IF stage bypass caps were "critical" with regard to the internal
inductance and indiscriminate replacements would affect the IF tuning/BP.
Has anyone verified this, and is that what was claimed in the article?
Seems a bit of a stretch... But...
