[Hallicrafters] Iceland Card

One Ham on the Anchor Of Boat list provided me with an e-mail address that
was several years old and of questionable present day value. Lo and behold,
it went directly to "GO", paid me two hundred Euros and patched me through
to Siggi himself! Now TF3CW did some sort of Icelandic magic and found me in
his logs, just as my "pointless" card asserted. So my verification is headed
my way via the infamous international Postal Pigeon. Yea!
As for the Manager and the phrase about my QSL being good for nothing more
then good one side only toilet paper ... OOPS! Sorry, that returned card
came from a lost Viking looking for where to trade four wives or two Sheep,
a three legged dog and a half empty, or was it half full, sack of udder
fungicide for a Loadstone that knew magnetic North from something called a
Magnutsosphere! What's next? The Fairy Dairy Queen Nympth denying access to
Frosty The Snowman and family because they tend to puddle as they plod? Was
it Bobby Darrin who said, "Splish Splash I was taking a bath, along about
Saturday night. Thenfrosty tube cubes, you're freezing my boom booms, turn
the hot water back on so I can rinse off this soap lube in a tube!
So thanks to all of the great Hams who dug through their drawer of junk and
found that Hope was not lost or in a stuffed elephant's trunk, and sent me a
note and to that ancient address I wrote. Now quick as a hot flash back
comes real relief and that returned QSL all folded in half is suddenly for
real, as its in his logs, along with paw prints from Data Dogs who update
the fireplace logs and send out a QSL to quiet and quell a blind Ham with an
element bent, so an Icelandic QSL gets licked and sent! So when all hope
seems lost, remember the glow and go for the Gold! Our vintage subscribers
came through, as they almost always do, and my green stamps were not lost as
Siggi even paid the coming home postal cost! So rather then lean back and
fold, take one card, raise five and hold! No reason to get gruff, no need to
posture and bluff, just be polite when you ask for your missing stuff and
hang tough as the postal Pigeon wings his way west, six weeks or six months,
a headwind is rough but patience is the key.
TNX to all for the help and good DX to Siggi for checking those logs before
I dispatched Frogzilla to ride on those waves, lose his courage and heave!
