Hi Bob,
I am sure the submarine USS Alabama has done well.... However if I remember
correctly in Vietnam and also the first Gulf war one of the WWII battleships
was pressed into service to pound the crapola out of the other side... and
did a mighty fine job!
Give some credit to your 50 or so year old elders! Yes it was updated but
still the same basic steel.
Go stand on the Missouri and look at the Arizona.. Then go stand on the
monument over the Arizona and watch the fuel bubbles still arise even today.
Draw your own conclusions..
