Subject: [Hallicrafters] Tropicallized or MFP

MFP - Maritime Film Protected sometimes referred to as Maritime Fungus
Protection was a process to protect equipment from the high humidity of ship
board use. There is a Navy standard that the process must meet to be
certified . Tropicallized was a process that combined the MFP and high
ambient temp environmental considerations. Tropicallized equipment usually
did not meet any specification and was generally done to meet the
manufactures' or customers requirements.
