Charlie's observations AND ADVICE are spot-on.  Personally, I get great usage from a 75m center-fed Zepp (dipole at fo, fed with open-wire line).  My particular one goes anywhere, but doesn't like 15m (your results may vary - matter of fact, they WILL).

As Charlie said, if you're going to use the antenna at it's cut frequency, you can use it with or without the balun; if you wish to "travel" a bit, the ladder or open wire feeder is best.
