Hi George;

Talk about a coincidence. I am in the process of reconditioning one. Mine
has the MC531 improvement kit installed. It provides 3 crystal controlled
frequencies. I suppose that would add some to the price. I am interested
in seeing what responses you get. I am just starting to clean it up and
test the tubes. It certainly is the top of the line with 2 RF stages and
3 IF stages and push-pull output. I have the top covers off and have
never seen such a band switching system. 25 cams on the band change shaft
that push contacts down for the  appropriate band. No wonder they call it
the Super-Pro. Maybe we can help each other if you are going to
recondition yours. Good luck.
