Absolutely not true! No where did I say the SX-88 was superior to  anything 
and certainly not to modern equipment. I did say it does not deserve to  be 
maligned by folks who have never operated a correctly restored and adjusted  
SX-88 and I presented an example of what is typically available out there on the  
market and I carefully described the steps that will likely be necessary to  
bring the average SX-88 back to proper working order. At amfone I listed the  
published engineering features along with a copy of the 1954 QST engineering  
description which is enough to stand alone in presenting the  facts.
