[Hallicrafters] SX-88 es government contracts

Anyone that thinks even for one second that government contracts and RFP's 
do or ever had anything to do with reality or honesty needs to remove the 
needle from their arm.  A component of every RFP addressing military 
requirements is "Can it be serviced in the field" and simply promise me that 
it will do what I ask of it.  How many of those tube vintage radio's that 
met contract RFP's could be serviced in the field.  Most EE's including me 
couldn't repair the gear train in some of those radios if my firstborn's 
life depended on it.  The SX-88 will always hold a special place in the 
heads and hearts of those who view it as a place holder in history.  Kindest
