Hi Tom:
The first step in the service/restoration of an SR-400/ SR-400A/SR-2000 is 
to loosen every screw, add a shot of DEox and retighten followed by a shot 
of DEoxit to every ground mount with a slight tap on the star washer to 
reset it.  Most problems will be dispatched.  Kindest regards Jim K9AXN
