[Hallicrafters] old Dipole

If you happen to have #12 gauge solid Copper wire for that antenna, as my
150 foot long SW/MW long wire does, get the heck out of the way if you cut
her loose! I had a friend at the far end of my antenna accidentally let go
of that end and the wire came flying back toward me like a coiled and very
angry snake! It would have seriously injured, possibly even killed, anyone
who was unfortunate enough to be in its path!

First, put slight tension on the outer poles (outward), then tie the legs
together with some form of quick release (a SINGLE loop of wire works well),
NOW, clip the loop, and both legs will fall down, and the poles will fall
outward - joila' No danger.
