Unfortunately, the HT-33 series doesn't have the split primary windings on the power transformers to allow 240 VAC operation. It sure would make things MUCH easier if the linear could be operated on 240 VAC.
There are not that many amateur radio operators who are as fortunate as I. My main operating console is less than 3 feet from the main breaker box and I have 8 gauge wire coming from a 40 amp 240 volt breaker. That is "split" into two 120 VAC segments. Even then, the HT-33A will definitely have to be run primarily by itself from one side.
