[Hallicrafters] Join Sunday Halli 20M Net!

Please put it in 'park' and take a well deserved pause from your weekend 
chores and join us on Sunday September 7th for the Halligan's Hallicrafters 
International 20 meter Net.

Since my southern Florida relay station is currently off the air due to 
adverse weather conditions, I could really use one of you to volunteer to 
help out with relays tomorrow!

The Pre-Net will commence at 12:45 PM EST/EDT, (1645 UTC). The HHI Net 
proper starts at 1:15 PM EST/EDT, (1715 UTC).

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ usb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and 
somebody shouting bad things about Smokey The Bear! Probably got a thumb 
print on one of his contact lenses and can't tell eleven meters from twenty 
meters on his "legal" mobile rig! Did any of you see the trucker in FL at 
the Ham Fest who was trying to sell the six optional huge alternators that 
he had somebody add to drive the amplifiers he was getting 30 Kw out of! 
Absolutely true! I know the Ham who saw the rig and talked to him. No wonder 
I have heard an eighteen wheeler rolling through the pastures and oil fields 
of TX and ARK when I could hear absolutely nobody else!

Listen for us from 14.292 MHZ up through 14.293 MHZ. Depending on which 
direction the adjacent loose lip splatter originates from determines the 
direction that we flee in! Hope to hear many of you tomorrow. If it glows in 
the dark and is Radium free, it is probably a vintage vacuum tube wonder!
