This is the latest spyware nonsense.  IE has dug its own grave.
You're in good company though - many have been caught by this.

In almost every case it is the fault of the operator.  These exploits
have one thing in common: they have to be executed by the person at the
keyboard.  We have to remain vigilant but unfortunately people don't
want to take the time.  The process is called social engineering.

We have a saying at work: don't click on ANYTHING.
We have been aided greatly by using Firefox as our primary browser.

There are a number of programs that can help here.  One the comes to
mind is Process Explorer.


Crank your security settings through the roof.  Dump IE.  Don't click on
anything.  Don't open any email whose origin you can't verify.  Turn off
the preview pane in your mail reader.
