Greetings Lovers Of Things That Hum And Still Go Glow In The Dark,

As some of you may recall, it was HB9RS, Dr. Max De Henseler, of 
Switzerland, who donated the bulk of the rare historic video, audio and 
printed material that became the Historic Halligan Radio Project, or HHRP. 
Dr. Max and his lovely wife Renate, now living with the Angels, were close 
personal friends of Bill and Katie Halligan. Bill Halligan, Sr., being the 
founder of the Hallicrafters Radio Company.

Earlier this year Dr. Max donated his incredible collection of Hallicrafters 
equipment to the Swiss Air Force Museum. The display of over one hundred 
pieces opened to the public on September 14th. It was a media event, as well 
as a historic event. Shown on the HHI web site is a photo of the man of the 
hour, Dr. Max De Henseler, his friend Swiss Astronaut Claude Nicolier HB9CN 
and a gorgeous BC-610 transmitter.

This beautiful and functional collection was a gift from HB9RS tothe Swiss 
Air Force Museum, Amateur Radio, Hams around the world and the hope that 
seeing historical vacuum tube rigs will keep the glow of real radio history 
alive for centuries to come. People today have little, if any, conception as 
to just how much the pioneers of radio, both commercial and Ham, made much 
of what we have today in the world of communications possible. Without it, 
well, we all might have to learn Morse Code so we could communicate by 
telegraphy, heh?
