Gary,

Check the excellent article on the HHI web site written by WA2CWA, Peter
Markavage, on the lineage of the Hallicrafters SX-101 series. Pete describes
each of the various incarnations clearly, which almost nobody else has ever
managed to do. So it is quite easy to discern one version from another.

You may have already done this Gary, but often times, owners confuse one
model with another because of some not obvious, and downright subtle,
differences.

If I am not mistaken, there was a discussion about the very issue you have
reserected from the radio guy's junkbox drawer eighteen months or so back.
Try doing a search from the HHI web site Gary. Try some different wordings
for the search criteria, and you will find this informative discussion. I
think what is there, is exactly what you are on a quest for OM.
