World Radio is now gone in hard copy.
Ive QST from 1929, CQ from #1 until 1995, all HRM and 73 from #1 also
to 1995. No CD's, cant read them in bed, at the table, loafing on the
EZBoy, or on the throne.
I was at National when Skip Tenney and Jim Fisk came in looking to sign
us up for advertising months before the first HRM issue. I subscribed on
the spot.
Also Popular Electronics from Issue 1 to the mid 60's, and the first 2
years of Byte. Wayne got me twice but I often dropped in for a visit as
it was a short drive. Knew him from 2M AM in NYC and his days as CQ
editor before the move to Peterborough.
So whats left thats worth reading? Not much that interests me. I pick up
intersting QEX at hamfests or Ebay and I get several VHF/UHF and
Microwave yearly conference books as thats where I do most of my
building. The NCJ is another I enjoy at times as its written by real
hams.
