I too miss the old QST and HR, but times have changed and more importantly
the subscriber base has changed.
Lew McCoys articles on turning a TV set into a CW transmitter would garner a
small audience.
I think the current QST editors have a difficult task and are doing a pretty
good job.
The QST-View CD's were a poor product. I heard that there were many
problems installing them on newer PC's so the League stopped selling them.
The on-line scans are from the "View" CD's. They are of poor quality, but
very usable. It would be very expensive to start the whole scan process
from scratch.
There are plans to redesign the QST web page, perhaps we will see a better
search engine for the old articles.
