[Hallicrafters] QST articles

My understand from something I read or heard quite a while ago is that the
early CDs were produced by a third party company that has the rights to
them. Thus supposedly ARRL didn't have the right to rescan or make anything
better. Perhaps that's changed but, I agree that the scans I've seen aren't
very good by today's standards. I did appreciate having an index for Ham
Radio though. I must admit though that I wish I'd kept my complete
collection of Ham Radio. I found it to be the best of all the publications
during the era that it was published.

I recently rejoined ARRL just for access to the QST archives..
With a sample of Hallicrafters searches, I have to say I'm disappointed.
The scans from those days are poor, which they warn about. Also, only
titles are searched and you can't access articles in QEX, for instance.
You have to buy the CD.
I tried all of the Halli equipment I own, and probably got QST hits on
50-60% of them.
If I'd known then...
