[Hallicrafters] S-38C feet

I've been working on an S-38C that came with no bottom, rear panel,
feet, and was missing 2 knobs.

I've since obtained a rear panel, some similar knobs, and a scan of
the bottom panel.

However, I have a few  questions about the bottom:

1. Does the bottom fit under the lip at the bottom front of the cabinet?

2. What are the holes in that lip used for?

3. Where and how do the feet attach?
   
4. There are a couple of holes in the bottom near where the IF is.
   I thought that maybe they were to align the IF but the holes don't
   match the positions of the IF transformers. Any idea what those holes
   are actually for?
