[Hallicrafters] S-38C dial window

I've been working on an S-38C  that seems to have a dial/cabinet
alignment problem. The tuning dials are not centred in their windows
but rather are about 3/16 inch too far to the left. There appears to
be no way to adjust this. The chassis is marked "run 2" amd the
cabinet is for an S-38C but there is no "run" marking.

Is this common or did someone put the wrong cabinet on this chassis?
