Hello Ed,

Over the past five days I have received no less then four forwarded messages
from you, or someone posing as you. Each message dealt with some mail
failure issues. They all appeared to be the same message being sent each
day.

I do "not" read any forwarded messages Ed. So I did not open them and read
them.

For the benefit of others reading this post, I do "NOT" ever read forwarded
messages! Cut out what you need to send to me, put it in a fresh e-mail and
then send it.

I receive a ridiculous amount of electronic mail, as I am sure many of you
do also. I am using the best software and hardware that I can afford to
protect my system from attacks by viruses, port penetrations and so forth.
However, as all of us know, there is nothing that makes a computer immune to
all these relentless daily attacks. Because of the level of security that I
must run, some good messages are filtered out. Which is why a message to me
may not receive a reply! However, your security systems, or those of your
ISP, also filter out my replies to you too! So it is a battle for all of us.

Ed, if you really did sent me these messages, do as I asked above. Cut and
paste it into a fresh e-mail and send it to me. Or call me on the landline
and we will discuss it there.

There are days that I receive over a hundred fake "returned message items,
when I have never sent said person or entity anything! They run in cycles;
twelve hours apart, about 3:00 -5:00 AM EST/EDT and 4:00 -5:30 PM EST/EDT".
This will continue for two, sometimes three days, then stop. It will happen
again about three to four weeks later. Thus far, my ISP has not been able to
find an effective way to filter out the good bounced mail returns from the
fake ones. I have enough message rules operating that I am surprised any
mail I send, or receive, ever posts!

Duane
