Why bother?
Contact Howard Mills, W3HM for beautiful wrinkle finish that is powder coat,
not paint. Powder coat is much more durable and uniform than traditional
wet paint. It requires no priming, and is environmentally friendly emitting
no volatile gases. It can only be applied to metal however, since it is
basically an electro-static process that bonds to the surface when heated.
Howard can bead (sand) blast your cabinet to bare metal and apply the powder
coat which can be wrinkle, satin, or gloss finish and he has many different
colors to match lots of boatanchor radios.
I've had him do many of my cabinets and they all came out great. He also
has silk screens for all the old Collins and many other radios.
He's at: w3hm at frontiernet.com
