I just checked my certificate, which I still have, in good shape. It was
issued in Nov. 1968, has my name and location typed in (came that way) and
my call sign, WPE1HOX, is stamped in the box. Certificate is signed by
Ferrell and Bennett.

I recall that it took many, many months to get it after sending away for it.
Long enough for me to study for my Novice ticket, pass the test, get my
ticket and be on the air for 6 months. I guess that means about a year.

73,
John W1JA
