[Hallicrafters] SX-28 IF Alignment Procedure

I'm trying Bill Feldmann's N6PY's procedure to align the IF stage in my SX-28 and have the HP-410B meter between the junction of R25 and R24 and ground which I assume is the correct position for the diode load, the only problem is that I am getting a positive voltage instead of the negative voltage I am supposed to get. I will recheck the position tomorrow on my day off but any quick ideas what I'm doing wrong?
