I suspect he works in Berkeley and lives in Mariposa.
Why not just send him an e-mail at the address he has given if the phone
number doesn't work.  You may have called before he got home as it takes a
while on a Friday evening to get from the San Francisco area to Mariposa as
the traffic on the way to the mountains can be fierce on a beautiful weekend
before Easter and a vacation week for some schools coming up?

He also has a BIRD 43 WATTMETER and FIFTY slugs for sale at a high price but
might be of interest to somebody and if the slugs are usable ones it might
not be that high a price.  A lot easier to ship!!!
