[Hallicrafters] Where to obtain dial cord

Fishing line has worked very well for me and is available in a wide range of forms from metal core to something that looked to me exactly like the 1950s and 60s packages of dial cord you could buy.

I've even seen some that should work fine at local Long's Drug stores.
