On CAREFUL revisiting all my old Hallis I have to report that they
ALL rest to the right with power off.
There is an SX-100 Mk - II here. It's meter rests to the right power
off and the pivot/armature is below the scale.
I have an SX-28 in which the meter had been replaced with a common
left-resting larger size round panel meter mounted in there upside
down. This way the meter rested at the right power off. The other
SX-28 here has an original meter and it rests to the right power off.
By the way, I've had recent experience with TWO SX-42's in which the
sensitivity was just fine on all bands but the signals required to
make S-9 was hugely higher than the normally expected 50 or 100
microvolts.
An SX-88 I recently overhauled could be adjusted per the book
instructions for 50 microvolts for S-9.
