[Hallicrafters] Replacement for lacquer stick

My last white lacquer stick dried out and I needed to fill in some embossed lettering on a unit that I finished painting.  Tried using some white water based paint but that just did not work out satisfactorily.  Then had an idea.  Went to a local general hobby type of store and bought some oil pastel sticks.  Frankly, they are pretty darn close to lacquer sticks and are available in most locations.  The stick worked fine.

Oil pastels are available in all sorts of colors including white, black, red, and other colors that are used on amateur radio equipment.
